Accidentes Geo-gráficos
follows the track of a traditional Afrocolombian story, shared through generations. It tells that in times of slavery traditional Afro hairstyles were used by the cimarrones (maroons) as maps to escape to freedom.

Guided by several testimonies, I intend to connect today’s traditional hair compositions made by Afrocolombian women to natural elements growing on the territories that Afrocolombians have occupied historically and that are linked somehow to this history of resistances.
